Here we are. Another week gone by. Sunday, our special needs great-granddaughter celebrated her First Holy Communion. She was born with a rare disease called 9P Deletion. Chromosome 9p deletion is a chromosome abnormality that occurs when there is a missing (deleted) copy of genetic material on the short arm (p) of chromosome 9. The severity and the signs and symptoms depend on the size and location of the deletion and which genes are involved. When she was born, they predicted she would not be alive to celebrate her 5th birthday. She has had numerous surgeries, and walks with braces but she is smart! Our granddaughter is an awesome mom and treats Elizabeth like any other child, encouraging her to participate in all activities. We are so proud of them.
Today I have a little mini kit. Some papers, wordart and clusters. ENJOY!
