Another short post. Thank you all for your concern and sweet, caring posts. I did go see our family doctor and it is just going to take time. My ankle looks terrible (and hurts so) because the blood is draining down. I still have large, very sore black and blue hematomas but he said that will take time. I really am grateful because it could have been so much worse. Ah, the golden years.

I'm so sorry you tripped over the rug and ended up so hurt! Aye, we all make those slips as we age, don't we?!? At least you knew what you did! Sometimes I get injuries and don't know how I got them (nothing like what you've experienced here, but bruises and scratches, etc.).
