 Had a rough reaction to our second covid-19 shot on Wednesday.  It started with a sore arm, but that is what happened after the first shot and it only lasted an hour, so we were not concerned.  But the arm was still hurting when we went to bed and then it hit!  I felt like a Mac truck hit me.  We both had a low grade fever, aches and pains, headache, stomach ache -- basically like a bad case of the flu.  I slept for 40 hours except to get up to take my medications and to have a small bowl of chicken noodle soup.  When I finally did get out of bed, I did so with the intention of having a little breakfast and going back to bed, but as the day went on, I felt better.  That night I had a low grade fever again and my arm was still pretty sore,  But other than feeling a little tired, I feel ok now.

Tuesday Treat - February 23rd

I think the snow might be over for a while.  It is really deep!  Our driveway had three feet of snow the other day and we couldn't find anyone to plow it out as our regular guy was super busy.  We asked the neighbors for recommendations and found one guy who said he would be over that afternoon.  Later that morning our regular guy called us from the street to say he came to plow but someone had snow-blowed our driveway already!  We have no idea who did it and no one will fess up so we can thank them.  We've had to have it plowed two more times since then.  The guys who plow do not do sidewalks (they don't get out of the truck) and we don't even know where our sidewalk is, there is so much snow.  LOL.  But, we are nothing like Texas.  We have been praying for those poor people!

Tuesday Treat - Feb 16th

 I hope you all had a great Valentine's Day.  Hubby's birthday was Friday.  He was 96.  You would never believe it.  He pretty much takes care of me instead of the other way around.  He can still beat me at Angry Birds, ha!  Anyway, our daughter spread the word and he was inundated with birthday cards and facebook wishes.  Unbelievable how many cards he got!  We are still eating on one birthday cake (coconut) and the other one is in the freezer.

Tuesday Treat - February 9th

 We've had lots more snow this past week; at least 18 inches total and more to come.  The temps are dropping too - now in the single digits.  Brrrr.  Been watching lots of TV shows and movies.  If you've seen something good lately, please share so we can watch too.  We have cable, Netflix, Prime and some other smaller streaming services.  In the meantime, stay warm and stay safe.  Here is your treat today.  I've been on a Valentine's Day kick, so there are more to come.  ENJOY!
