Christmas Gift - December 24th

Merry Christmas Eve.  Hope you are all sitting around the fire (or the pool if you are in warmer weather) and enjoying a little egg nog.  Do you open your gifts on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?  When I was growing up, my parents didn't wrap the gifts until after we were asleep (or pretending to be) on Christmas Eve and we could not open our gifts on Christmas morning until after we got home from church.  Our daughter's family does Christmas Eve for all the gifts from Mommy and Daddy and others, and Christmas morning is when they discover the gifts from Santa Claus.  However you do it, I hope it is exciting for you and that your day is happy and safe.  Here is your gift from me.  ENJOY!

We spend Christmas Eve at home with our daughter and Granddaughters. On Christmas day, my three sisters and our families spend the day at my youngest sister's house just outside Windsor Ontario, Canada. Not this year. The border is closed and we encouraged my sister in Ottawa NOT to fly home. So this is the first Christmas of our lives when we will not be together.

Thank you! Merry Christmas to you and yours! We do church on Christmas Eve, then watch the "mouse movie" (Twas the night before Christmas from the 1970's). Then on Christmas Day, we do stockings and breakfast and THEN presents. This year, because of covid, we'll go to my Mom's at 9:30am and exchange gifts with her on her back patio, and then come home. Then my older sister and her family will go to Mom's at 11am, exchange THEIR gifts with her, so as to not be there when we are, and then they will come up to our house at 12:30pm and exchange gifts with US in our carport. We don't know what we're going to do with my younger sister and her family, because her in-laws are both suffering from the virus, one of which is on a ventilator, and my sister doesn't know what they are going to do. It's sad, truly. This is not a joyous Christmas for her or her family, my nephew is very close to his grandparents. Anyhoo, on that downer, here's hoping 2021 brings an END to the virus and life can become free again!

I have enjoyed your daily xmas downloads. Thank You for taking all the time to make these and offer for free. I am very grateful because I am disabled and paying for this would be a luxury I would have to give up. God Bless You for your samaritan ways. Wishing You and Your Family a very special Christmas!!!
Thank You & God Bless

Thank you so much for all of the beautiful goodies. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

We open gifts Christmas morning. For my husband's family, we will all open our gifts from each household, whenever the kids get up. Then, my husband will pick up his mom and bring her to our house as she lives alone. Then we'll do a Zoom call and we'll all open our gifts from each other (that we've already dropped off at each others' households). My own family lives 8 hours away, and we won't see them for Christmas this year. We will do a video chat with them in the afternoon. Hopefully we can go for a visit after our current lockdown is over.
