February Desktop

Oh my gosh, can it actually be February already??  We are in the midst of a snowstorm.  It started this morning and we already have 6 inches and it is still snowing although not as hard as this morning when I got up.  I have to admit it is beautiful, but that is because I can enjoy it looking out my office window and don't have to go outside  We have a long driveway, so we will either have to wait until the snow melts or find someone to clear it out for us before we can go anywhere.  It's not like we go anywhere anyway during these times except for grocery/prescription pickup and doctor appointments.  We do Virtual Visits with our doctors whenever possible.  We did get our Covid vaccinations this past Wednesday.  Worked slick as a whistle.  Made an appointment (it was three days of calling before we got someone other than a recording) and we had a spot for the next Friday.  Then they called on Monday and asked if we could come in on Wednesday.  Once we got there, we registered and showed our medicare cards, went into the large room (the size of a basketball court) where they had four stations set up.  We got the shots and then sat for 15 minutes drinking juice and eating a snack to make sure there were no reactions.  The only side effect was a sore arm for a couple of hours and that was it.  We got the Moderna vaccine.

Anyway, here is a desktop wallpaper for you for February.  I will have a special treat for you on Tuesday :-)  ENJOY.

Tuesday Treat - January 26th

Watched a good movie on Amazon Prime - The Ride (2018, there are several).  Really enjoyed it.  It's based on a true story.  Heartwarming. If you've seen a good movie (we enjoy Mysteries, thrillers and drama too.  No horror), let me know.   Here is your treat for today.  ENJOY!

Tuesday Treat - January 19th

Oh my gosh, I cannot tell you how long it took me to do this QP.  Not the QP itself, but deciding on what to put in the lower left under the frames (where I finally put the house).  I spent hours looking through all my CU graphics, trying flowers, snowflakes, squiggles, etc.  Nothing looked right..  I hope you like the finished product :-)  ENJOY.

Tuesday Treat - January 12

So, how is the new year going for you so far?  It's the same ole, same ole here.  Our SIL and daughter are coming this afternoon to take down our outside Christmas decorations and put them back in the basement.  Other than a Nativity Scene and table flower arrangement, we didn't do anything inside.  Here is your treat for today. I couldn't decide which word art I liked better, so I've included them both and you can choose. ENJOY!

What Next?

I have to admit, I was glad to see December end.  I love, truly love, designing gifts to give away for others to use.  Someone left me a comment saying it made it possible for them to scrap as they could not afford to purchase kits.  That was true for me when I started designing.  I relied on freebies.  Then I joined some creative teams and got some beautiful kits that way.  I worked with some amazing designers on their creative teams, managed a CT, headed up quality control, designed QPs and clusters for sale, etc..  But, I digress.  While I enjoy creating, after the creation is finished, it has to be resized for posting, I have to make a preview, I need to add my TOU and zip it up, I need to upload it to mediafire and then post to the FB groups, create a post on blogger,  It's really no big deal except if you have to do it every day.  But, December is over and I miss designing for you, especially Christmas stuff!

But on to the next.  What do you want to see?  Winter, Valentine's day, Spring?  Or just a variety?  Do the majority of you scrap in 12x12 (or any square) or are there some who do rectangular?  I do mine in a rectangle.  Do you print in books?  If so, what companies do you use?  I've used Shutterfly, Picaboo, Winkflash, Artscow, My PicTales, My Publisher,  and some others I am sure I am forgetting.  I create and put everything in a folder called Next Photobook, and wait for a sale.  I also publish my book into a flipbook to be viewed on the computer.  My hubby loves to look through them that way.

Anyway, let me know your thoughts.  I hope 2021 is turning out better for you than last year.  Hugs to all of you.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year to you all!  Thank you so much for coming to visit during the past month and for all your lovely comments about my gifts to you.  I enjoy designing and over the years have managed to scrap quite a few family books because of the generosity of those who share their creations.  I am just "paying it forward"!  Here is a January desktop I created for myself and I thought I would share.  ENJOY!
