Good morning everyone! Hope you are all doing well and settling down after all the commotion of Christmas, sorting through all your photos and reliving the special moments of the day.
Just a couple of days and a new year begins. I will try to sort through all the extra goodies and make up a small package for you to make up for the day I missed. Today some of the kids are coming up and we are going to order chinese food and play some games.

Sorry about yesterday. Both hubby and I have been feeling tough all week. He hardly slept at all Wednesday/Thursday night, so I didn't sleep either. He finally got up at 8am and I fell asleep. He came back to bed at 9:30 am and we slept until 1pm. I am starting to feel a little better now but I am not 100 percent. Hopefully we are through the worst of it.

Running late AGAIN! Hardly slept last night and when I finally fell asleep in the wee hours of the morning, I slept until 10, got up, took my pills, and went back to bed until 1!!

I am working on my Christmas newsletter. It started years ago when I received the first one from my new SIL, Marty. They were stationed overseas and when I received it, I thought "what a wonderful idea". I was discussing this with our Pastor recently and he said that back then people only communicated with their distant relatives and friends a couple of times a year and it was a great way to catch up with what everyone was doing. Now, we have Facebook and texts and so many other ways to communicate that the newsletters have lost their purpose. One thing I found though, is that these newsletters are like a diary for us. What year did we go on that cruise? Go check the newsletters. When did so and so get married. Go check the newsletters. So, though we don't really have much new to tell our family and friends, it is a recap of the year for us. Do you do a Christmas newsletter?

I am exhausted. Too much this past week. I still haven't finished my Christmas Cards though I only send out a few actual cards to family and close friends. We used to send hundreds - business and personal. Years ago we quit sending actual cards and instead make a donation to our local homeless shelter. We send cards out via e-mail instead. Because, let's face it, who actually reads the cards? Most that we get are cards with just a signature (sometimes printed). No note or anything personal. It's nice to know that the person is thinking of you, but such a waste of money. Ah, but that's just me. Do you send out Christmas cards?

Carpet cleaners come to do the house and we will be moving all the breakable items off tables etc. My back is already killing me from all the work yesterday, but I did get a good night's sleep. Yay!
