Busy, Busy Week

Wow, it's been a busy, busy week. Visits with friends, high school reunion, Church picnic, visiting family ... not one day free. I also did some baking (see "Licking the Beaters"...LOL) I need to get busy on my LOs though. My computer has been acting up, and my high speed connection has gone out a couple of times, so have been trying to get everything backed up as quickly as possible. Beautiful Weather

Can you believe that the summer is almost over? The grandkids start back to school tomorrow - unbelievable! The weather has been just gorgeous, warm and sunny. Since we turned the water off while we were gone, the grass turned brown and hubby is furiously watering to get it to turn green again. They are predicting possible storms tonight, but there are no clouds, so I think the rain will miss us again. Anyway, here are a few more. These are all available at AshaleeandSweet.

I'm Baaaaaack

It has been so long since I've posted, but we have been on vacation. We went to visit the kids and all our old friends, and we just got home. We have been gone about a month. It was wonderful, and we had a great time. BUT, it is always great to be home -- in our own bed, in the same old groove, comfortable and happy :-) I've got a bunch of LOs to show you, but I am really so far behind. I thought I would get some scrapping done while we were traveling from here to there and back, but we were having too much fun. So I will post what I have, and then more later as I get them done.

This is just a collage I made of my hubby's fishing trip up at Conchas Lake.

The weather is gorgeous. It is hot, but not too hot, sunny and beautiful. Aaaah, life is good. Our holiday barbeque was a great success and there was tons of food. We have been dieting, but we cheated a little and had lots of things we should not have. My daughters and granddaughter make fabulous desserts. Oh, and pasta salad, and homemade baked beans, and ramen salad... so much food. We have been busy as we are planning a trip, but I did have time to whip out a few more layouts.

Fireworks!

Wow, nature sure has been providing us with plenty of fireworks lately in the form of lightning. We have had so many storms. Is the weather getting weird in this country, or what?! Floods, tornadoes, high winds (even if they are 99 mph winds, as we had a couple of weeks ago, it is not a tornado unless it touches the ground)... and then the fires. How horrible. Our prayers are with those families affected by these tragedies. I can't imagine losing everything like that. Anyway, here are a few more of my latest LOs.
