Christmas Gift - December 29, 2021
Ok, I have to admit it. My name is Pat and I am a design-aholic. When I should be gathering up all the loose designs I created to give you (or scrapping my own photos), I am like ... "Oh look, what a pretty paper. I should make a quick page" and off I go to spend an hour creating something new. I also was going through my design program (Fotofusion by Lumapix) and found a bunch that I started but didn't finish because I got interrupted by hubby or a phone call or dinnertime. So I had to go and finish them as well. And we need to go grocery shopping!! Normally I do a Walmart pickup, but we don't have enough for a full order and just need some fruit.

Christmas Gift - December 28, 2021
Has anyone seen a good movie lately? We watched the new Netflix movie, "Don't Look Up" and it was so stupid, I can't believe we stuck with it until the end. I am tired of Christmas movies. I want a good mystery or action movie; something that keeps me in suspense. Or even a feel-good movie. The last really good movie we saw was Finch, with Tom Hanks (love him). Tau wasn't bad. Oh, and Unforgiveable with Sandra Bullock was good. Also looking for a good series to binge watch.

Christmas Gift - December 27, 2021
Well, the year is almost over. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. I was hoping for a white Christmas but all we got was rain! Our granddaughter brought over Christmas dinner and we have lots of leftovers, No cooking for a while! Yay!! We spent the day watching Christmas movies and playing games..
Soon the daily gifts will be over for the year. You will start to get the leftovers these next few days. I have lots of odds and ends that hopefully you can use. I like to mix and match and rarely use just one kit for a layout. I really enjoy creating designs to give away. Not so much the quality control, selecting, sorting, renaming, packaging, uploading, posting to the blog, posting to FB etc. that goes along with it all. It's too time consuming. Soon, I will have to get back to scrapbooking .. LOL.

Christmas Gift - December 24, 2021
Today I have for you a quickpage and two wordart. I really hope it goes without saying that if you find something wrong with any of my creations, please let me know. I was getting ready to bundle up my gifts for today when I realized I had created the quickpage as 4.25 x 4,25 inches - the size of the CD calendar I made earlier in the month. Not a good size for a full size page. So, if you find something like that, or a cluster with stray pixels or anything like that, please let me know. I will fix it and repost it. I am not perfect, and I am old (LOL) and I get easily distracted. It will not hurt my feelings, I promise.
I have a question for you. Do you open gifts on Christmas Eve? We never did when I was growing up. My parents waited until we were all asleep on Christmas to get the gifts from their hiding place (in the attic...LOL) and wrap them. We were not allowed to open gifts until after we went to church Christmas morning. Unless, of course, it was something like a bicycle that couldn't be wrapped. Like when my younger brother woke us all up at 2 am to scream that Santa had brought him a bike!!

Christmas Gift - December 21, 2021
Well, here it is... the big 75 ... three quarters of a century!! Today is my birthday. It's very depressing to be this old, but except for my grandma, no one in my family lived past 72, so I am blessed. Not doing anything special because of Covid, but hubby is making my favorite Christmas dish - Posole (a spicy pork and hominy mexican dish). It is a favorite from when we lived in New Mexico and it has become a Christmas tradition. I don't know why we don't make it other times during the year since we love it. For Christmas, our daughter is having a family gathering, but no one is vaccinated, so we are staying away. She will bring us dinner, so we don't have to cook. Our daughter-in-law and two granddaughters in Missouri have Covid. Two have been vaccinated, so hopefully it will be a mild case.

It's a cold but very nice day out today. It rained a lot yesterday but today is sunny and nice. We made our grocery run this morning, so we are set for the week.

Christmas Gift - December 13, 2021
It's been a busy day. I worked all day making my Christmas cards. I don't send out many as our tradition is to send our Christmas cards via email and make a donation to the homeless shelter instead, but there are some with Christmas gifts and family newsletters that need to be mailed. The outside is the same for all, but the wording is different for each. I am about done for today. I was going to make a pork loin for dinner, but I am too tired to cook a big meal, so we are going to have home made turkey soup and a salad. Tomorrow is laundry day and working on Christmas cards again. Hopefully, I can get them all finished.

Christmas Gift - December 12, 2021
The weather has been crazy. It was 63 degrees when I got up and is now 37 because of the wind. The wind is terrible. Last night we had tornado alerts. It was a Tornado Watch which is not as serious as a Warning when tornadoes have actually been spotted, but scary nonetheless. I am sending prayers to all in the midwest who actually had to deal with loss of life or property due to tornadoes.

We are having a heat wave -- 52 degrees!! It is gloomy and supposed to have a rain storm this afternoon. I am sitting here working on our Christmas Card for this year (yeah, I know, I'm a little behind) while drinking hot chocolate with muenster cheese in it. Does anyone here do that? It was a treat my grandma always made for me and I love it. The cheese melts and gets gooey and tastes soooo good.
