Christmas Gift - December 21, 2021

Well, here it is... the big 75 ... three quarters of a century!!  Today is my birthday.  It's very depressing to be this old, but except for my grandma, no one in my family lived past 72, so I am blessed.  Not doing anything special because of Covid, but hubby is making my favorite Christmas dish - Posole (a spicy pork and hominy mexican dish).  It is a favorite from when we lived in New Mexico and it has become a Christmas tradition.  I don't know why we don't make it other times during the year since we love it.  For Christmas, our daughter is having a family gathering, but no one is vaccinated, so we are staying away.  She will bring us dinner, so we don't have to cook.  Our daughter-in-law and two granddaughters in Missouri have Covid.  Two have been vaccinated, so hopefully it will be a mild case.
