Tuesday Treat - June 7th

Oh my goodness, it's been a whirlwind.  My hubby was admitted to the hospital on Thursday.  He was unable to drink or eat, choking on anything he tried to swallow.  The admitting doctor told him he would need a feeding tube.  Thankfully, we got a second opinion and another doctor did a procedure on his throat and he is doing fine!  He got to come home on Sunday.  But, you cannot imagine the tests!  An MRI, two x-rays, three CT scans, a urinalysis and tons of blood work.  The MRI showed he has a back fracture so we are still dealing with that.  I spent the night at the hospital, in a very uncomfortable recliner, on Thursday/Friday and my back is suffering for it now.  We had to borrow another walker (I use one in my daily life) as hubby is still a little unsteady on his feet.  But, thankfully, he is home with me!

I had these word art and the frame set aside for a situation such as this, so I would still have a treat for you.  So, here you go.  ENJOY!

  3. Thank goodness you got that second opinion! Feeding tubes are no fun. A dear friend of mine had to have one and it kept her alive for a while but at a terrible price. It sounds like it might have been just for a short time for your husband but still... much better not to got through that.
